KIRBY — Funeral services for Mrs. Rachel H. Harris, 84, of Roxie, who died Monday, Jan. 23, 2012, at Franklin Memorial Hospital, will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at New Jerusalem Baptist Church in Kirby with the Rev. Luther Bonds officiating.

Burial will follow at the Hunt Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.

Visitation will be 1 to 5 p.m. Monday at the Marshall Funeral Home Chapel and 9 a.m. until time of services Tuesday at New Jerusalem Baptist Church.

Mrs. Harris was born March 17, 1927, the daughter of Dan Hunt and Delia Haynes Hunt.

Rachel was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Walter Harris, and one daughter, Vater M. Brown.

Survivors include one daughter, JoAnn Childs and husband, James; three sons, Craig Harris and wife, Majorie, Ray Harris and wife, Bobbie, and Walter Harris and wife, Denton; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one sister, Isophene Hunt, and a number of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
