FERRIDAY — Services for Charles Ray “Chuck” Sibley, 80, of Ferriday, who died Sunday, Jan. 29, 2012, at Cabrini Medical Center in Alexandria, La., will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Young’s Funeral Home with the Rev. Clyde Ray Webber officiating.
Arrangements are under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Visitation will be from noon until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Sibley was born May 25, 1931, in Monroe, La., the son of John and Agnes Sibley. He was a retired chief deputy clerk of court in Concordia Parish.
Mr. Sibley proudly served his country in the U.S. Army for 20 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Irma Tucker; and three brothers, Buck Sibley, Paul Sibley and John Sibley.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Wolle Sibley; two daughters, Julie Dee Sibley and Patricia Lynn Myers; one son, Danny Ray Sibley; six stepchildren, Ralph Hill, Candi Robinson, Richard Allen Hill, Dale Prather, Lana Prather and Penny Venegas; 10 grandchildren, Charles Sibley II, David Sibley, Jessicah Adams, Robert Myers Jr., Brandon Wall, Jennifer Wall, Laura Wall, Jeremy Wall, Jeremy Hill and Richard Hill Jr.; seven great-grandchildren, Jakob Adams, Hudson Hillebrandt, Kaleb Brandenburg, Landon Myers, Makayla Myers, Layla Myers and Ethan Harper; nine step-grandchildren; and five step-great-grandchildren.
