CLAYTON — Services for Roosevelt “Do-Rite” Davis Sr., 76, of Ferriday, who died Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2012, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at St. Mark Baptist Church in Clayton with the Rev. Justin Conner officiating.

Burial will follow at New Mount Zion Church Cemetery in Clayton under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Davis was born Nov. 27, 1935, in Sicily Island, the son of Frank and Mary Hatten Davis.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Donnell Davis; and one sister, Ethel Jenkins.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Shell Davis; three sons, Larry Davis and wife, Dorothy, Roosevelt Davis Jr. and Kevin Davis; five daughters, JoAnn Washington and husband, James, and Myisha R. Davis, all of Ferriday, Sandra Cotton and husband, Dewight, of Waxahachie, Texas, Renza Barber and husband, Floyd, of Clayton and LaDonna Williams of Las Vegas; seven brothers, Frank Davis Jr., Lionel Davis, Ozell Davis, Wadell Davis, Samuel Lee Davis, Anthony Walker and Jason Townsend; seven sisters, Rosie Lee Davis, Frankie Davis, Jessie Coleman, Rosie Bowman, Panzella Davis, Deloris Davis and husband, Lindsey, and Bobbie Leathers; 27 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
