ROXIE — Services for Dorothy Rae “Dot” Williams, 70, of Roxie, who died Sunday, Feb. 5, 2012, at her residence, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at East Roxie Church of Christ with the Rev. Issac Tenner officiating.
Burial will follow at New Fork Cemetery, formerly Meadville Cemetery, under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from noon to 5 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home in Bude and from 9 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
Mrs. Williams was born Feb. 8, 1941, in Franklin County, the daughter of Lula Mae Harris and Calvin Nelson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Katie Morgan and Rose Marie Sanders; and three brothers, Van Harris, Lonnie Ray Harris and Lawrence Harris.
Survivors include one son, Billy Nelson and wife, Renee; six grandchildren, Marcus Nelson and wife, Lona, YoLunda Nelson Rivera and husband, Larry, Billie Jean Nelson, Joann Jackson, YaLonda Davis and husband, Vladimir and Sharee Davis and husband, Zarkey; two sisters, Beatrice Stampley and husband, Leroy, and Pearlie Mae Green and husband, Jamie; three brothers, L.J. White, Pearlie White Jr., and Luther Harris; 11 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
