Police add charge

NATCHEZ — The Natchez Police Department charged the suspect believed to have robbed an acquaintance twice this week with an additional charge Wednesday for intimidating a witness.
Natchez Lt. Craig Godbold said John S. Dillard, 27, 8 Old Lewis Lane, made a threatening phone call from the Natchez City Jail to a witness of the two robberies he was charged in connection with on Tuesday.
Dillard reportedly robbed and pistol-whipped an acquaintance at Cedarhurst Apartments on Monday. Dillard also reportedly robbed and pistol-whipped the same man again on Tuesday.
Dillard was also charged Wednesday with felon carrying a concealed weapon. He has no bond.
Godbold said Dillard has prior felony convictions in Adams County, including armed robbery, felony malicious mischief and grand larceny.
