VIDALIA — Services for Albert “Crook” Brown Sr., 79, of Vidalia, who died Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012, at Promise Hospital in Vidalia, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Triumph Baptist Church in Vidalia with the Rev. Earnest Ford Jr. officiating.
Burial will follow at the Vidalia City Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Friday at the church.
Mr. Brown was born April 24, 1932, in Vidalia, the son of Prince Brown and Katie Johnson.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Martha Mae McCoy; one daughter, Marilyn K. Brown; two brothers; and five sisters.
Survivors include four sons, Albert Brown Jr. and Larry Brown Sr. and wife, Rozina, all of Vidalia, Kelvin Brown Sr. and wife, LaJeane, and Barry Brown, all of Houston, Texas; three daughters, Jacqueline Brown-Mercadal of Jonesboro, Ga., Mary Graves of Houston and Rosalyn Hawkins of Vidalia; one brother, Prince Brown Sr. and wife, Ethel; one sister, Alberta Brown, all of Vidalia; 17 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
