MONTEREY — Funeral services for Lou Bertha Coleman Luss, 75, of Monterey, who died Thursday, Feb. 16, 2012, at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria, will be 11 a.m. Monday at Hall Grove Baptist Church in Monterey with the Rev. Louis Barber officiating.

Burial will follow at the Luckett Cemetery in Monterey under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home.

Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Luss was born March 1, 1936, in Fort Necessary, La., the daughter of Elijah and Lula Hobson Coleman. She was preceded in death by her parents; Cilla Tillman, who raised her; one son, Toris Luss; two brothers, Walter Allen and Johnny Wilson; and one sister, Jennifer Sanders.

Survivors include her husband, Willie Luss; four sons, Willie Luss and wife, Paula, of Killeen, Texas, Jerry Luss and wife, Rhonda, of Springfield, Va., Richard Luss and wife, Stephanie, of Monroe and Willie Luss II, of Ocean Springs; one daughter, Gloria LeCompte, of Killeen; one sister, Villa May “Val” Taylor and husband, Jacob, of Ferriday; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
