Centreville — The Wilkinson County man whose burned body was recovered from a house fire in Centreville Feb. 15 has been identified.

DNA analysis from the Mississippi Crime lab has identified the victim as Eddie Seiber, 30.

Seiber was the lone resident of 801 Mangam St., where he lived in a mobile home. The home was destroyed in the fire that killed Seiber, whose official cause of death was listed as smoke inhalation.

Wilkinson County Coroner Travis Sharp previously said he believed Seiber was the victim, but would not officially release the name until the remains could be identified.
