NATCHEZ — Services for Mrs. Shirley Ann Marchand, 71, of Gonzales, who died Friday, March 2, 2012, at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital in Baton Rouge, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on Lower Woodville Road with Bishop Deric Masten officiating.

Burial will follow in the Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. today at Ourso Funeral Home in Gonzales and 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday at Laird Funeral Home.

Mrs. Marchand, a native of Natchez, was a loving homemaker and enjoyed dancing, bowling and cosmetology. She was a member of the Church Service Missionary of the Bishop’s Storehouse.

The family would like to extend special thanks to the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office, the staff of Our Lady of the Lake Hospital and the nurses of in the TNCC unit.

Mrs. Marchand was preceded in death by her parents, John Henry Taylor Sr. and Essie Naomi Freeman Taylor; husband, Irwin Marchand; son, Douglas Dooley Sr.; three brothers, John Henry Taylor, James Freeman and Marvin Taylor and granddaughter, Victoria Leigh Rymer.

Survivors include two daughters, Teresa Godbold, and husband, Craig, of Natchez, and Kellie Langlois, of Baton Rouge; six grandchildren, Jamie Rymer, and wife, Claire, Cristin Rymer, Myra Champlin, Douglas Alan Dooley Jr., Trey Albin and Tony Godbold; one great-grandchild, Vera Claire Rymer, and sister, Carolyn Taylor of Navarre, Fla.

Pallbearers will be Ricky Freeman, Patrick Harrigill, Randy Freeman, Tommy Freeman, Bryan Causey, Timothy Freeman, Alan Brumbelow and Capt. William O. Watson Jr.
