NATCHEZ — An Adams County woman was arrested this week after she allegedly escalated electronic threats and burglarized a Morgantown area residence.
Kiesha Sadé Butler, 22, was arrested on charges of cyberstalking and burglary of a dwelling Monday.
According to a news release from the Adams County Sheriff’s Office, a warrant for Butler’s arrest on the cyberstalking charges was issued in late January after she allegedly sent threatening electronic messages to a Morgantown-area resident. The State of Mississippi considers any form of electronic harassment to be cyberstalking.
She was arrested Monday because she allegedly broke into the cyberstalking victim’s residence. During the burglary, a glass door in the rear of the residence was broken, two televisions were smashed and couch cushions were sliced open, according to the news release.
Butler was released on a $12,500 bond March 5.
She pleaded “not guilty” to the charges against her in Adams County Justice Court.
