NATCHEZ — Services for Flora Mae Gooden, 75, of Clinton, who died Saturday, March 3, 2012, at Trinity Mission Nursing Home in Clinton, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Church of Jesus Christ-God’s Son with the Rev. Willie Johnson officiating.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery under the direction of Robert D. Mackel and Sons Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
Mrs. Gooden was born July 30, 1936, in Jefferson County, the daughter of Steve Johnson and Charlotte Lee Johnson.
She was a member of the Christ Temple Church of Apostolic Faith in Bude.
Mrs. Gooden was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Theodore Gooden; six brothers and five sisters.
Survivors include five children, Lawrence Gooden and wife, Marilyn, of Port Gibson, Theodore Gooden III and wife, Odessa, and Phillip Gooden, all of Natchez; Angela Calhoun and husband, James, of Piney Woods, and Shelia James and husband, Prince, of Phoenix City, Ala.; nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Eloise Tucker of Chicago, Sarah Howard of New Orleans and Matildy Johnson of Natchez; three brothers, Bishop Willie Johnson and wife, Judy, of Bude, Steve Johnson and wife, Bertha, of Natchez, and Joe Johnson and wife, Regina, of Roxie; and a number of other relatives and friends.
