BATON ROUGE — A Mass of Resurrection for Paula Burke Winders, 65, of Natchez, who died Monday, March 5, 2012, at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport, La., will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Baton Rouge with the Rev. Jerry Martin officiating.

Burial will be at the Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home in Baton Rouge.

Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Mrs. Winders was a native of Baton Rouge and lived in Natchez. She was a graduate of Cathedral High School in Natchez and Nichols State University in Thibodeaux, La.

She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and an East Baton Rouge Parish election commissioner.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John V. and Eillene Burke and her husband, David Winders.

Survivors include one daughter, Melanie V. Williams and husband, Kevin; one son, Lonnie E. “Gene” Vinson Jr. and wife, Sarina D. Vinson; former husband, Lonnie E. Vinson Sr.; two sisters, Mary Alice Flournoy and husband, James “Will” and Karen Morrow and husband, Carl; twin brother, James “Jim” Burke and wife, Mary.
