JONESVILLE — Services for Robert Goodin Jr., 72, of Jonesville, who died Wednesday, Feb. 29, 2012, at Promise Hospital in Vidalia, will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Ackland Creek Baptist Church in Jonesville.

Arrangements are under the direction of Howard Funeral Home in Jonesville.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Goodin was born in Jefferson, the son of Robert Goodin Sr. and Princella Goodin.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Jeffrie Eric Goodin; one sister, Ella Mae Willis; and one brother, Pierce Jenkins Jr.

Survivors include one son, Steve Matthews of Anchorage, Alaska; three daughters, Linda Williams and husband, Frederick, of Memphis, Tenn., Paula Goodin of Los Angeles and Margo Branch of Alexandria, La.; six brothers, Johnny Gooden and wife, Anna, of Natchez, Henry Jenkins of Muskegon Heights, Mich., Sam Jenkins, Kenneth Jenkins, Keith Jenkins, Terry Jenkins and Eddie Jenkins, all of Jonesville; seven sisters, Serena Davis of Natchez, Bessie Goodin of Moreno Valley, Calif., Anna Burton of Alexandria, Carinne Holly and husband, Jessie, of Long Beach, Calif., Mary Ridley and Dianne Ridley, both of Detroit, and Gertrude Wilkerson and husband, Eddie, of Jonesville; two aunts, Rosetta Washington of Natchez and Laura Aubrey and husband, Effie, of San Pablo, Calif.; 15 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
