CHURCH HILL — Graveside services for Jane White Prospere, 89, of Church Hill, who died Thursday, March 8, 2012, at Promise Hospital in Vidalia, will be at 11 a.m. today at Christ Episcopal Church Cemetery in Church Hill with the Rev. Walton Jones officiating.

Burial will follow under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until service time at the church cemetery.

Mrs. Prospere was born Oct. 30, 1922, in Chattanooga, Tenn. She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church and Christ Episcopal Church. She was a member of the Natchez Garden Club where she served as a tour guide for 20 years. She retired from Washington School where she was employed as secretary.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Frances Nixon and her husband, C.G. Prospere.

Survivors include one daughter, Susan Prospere of Houston, Texas; two sons, Robert Prospere and wife, Kathy, of Natchez and Jim Prospere of Los Angeles; one brother, Robert White Sr. of South Pittsburg, Tenn.; and four nephews, Robert White Jr. of Carmel, Ind., Jack White of Chattanooga, Reed Prospere and family of Dallas and Peyton Prospere of Jackson.

The family extends a special thank you to Dr. Ed Daly, Judy Bartley of Internal Medical Clinic and caregivers, Hazel Lee and Nicole Kaho.

Memorials may be made to the Natchez Adams County Humane Society.
