NATCHEZ — One Natchez resident is several hundred dollars poorer after reportedly leaving her purse unattended on her own front porch last week.

According to a Natchez police report, a Martin Luther King Jr. Street resident reported that she left her purse containing her wallet with $642 in it on her porch while she went into her house for a few minutes.

The report states that when the woman went back out on her porch, her purse was open and her wallet was missing. The woman reportedly saw three men walking hurriedly away from the area near her house.
