NATCHEZ — Services for Carlos M. “Moe” Wright, 23, of Natchez, who died Tuesday, March 6, 2012, at his residence, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Zion Chapel No. 2 in Kingston with the Rev. Walter L. Smith Sr. officiating.

Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Bateaste Memorial Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today and the funeral home and from noon until service time Saturday at the church.

Carlos was born June 8, 1988, in Natchez, the son of Anna Wright and Joseph Butler. He was an attendee of Natchez-Adams School District and a former employee at Walmart and Monmouth Plantation.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, baby Hawkins; great-grandmother, Celestine Butler; grandfather, Archie Edwards; two aunts, Mary Wright Aaron and Ethel Bernard; and two uncles, J.C. Wright and Willie Wright.

Survivors include his mother of Natchez; his father and his wife, Sherry, of Houston, Texas; a second mom, Melva Butler of Houston; grandmothers, Dorothy M. Myles, Barbara White and Zenater Wright; great-grandfather, Mark Butler, all of Natchez; three sisters, Kayla Butler, Brianny Butler and Crystal Butler; one brother, TaMarcus Butler, all of Houston; four stepbrothers, Ernest Collier, Erin Collier, Dominic Chatman and Xazier Chatman; one stepsister, Shannon Collier, all of Houston; one niece and nephew, Amaya Butler and Jakobe Butler, both of Houston; six aunts, Stacey and Tracy Wright, Tina White, all of Natchez, Tamitha Wiley, Nicalle Edwards, both of Dallas, and LaKeshia Edwards of Biloxi; four uncles, Ted Wright and Charles Luckett, both of Natchez, Cornelius Butler of Houston and Shaun Edwards of Biloxi; one great-aunt, Ruth White of Covina, Calif.; six special cousins, Brian Harper, Erick Harper, Kayla Wright, Tawana Campbell and husband, Charles, Lourdene Hendricks and husband, Sam, and Tabatha Good and husband, M.L.; and a number of great-aunts, great-uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
