Junius “Jr.” Green Jr.

KINGSTON — Services for Mr. Junius “Jr.” Green Jr., 63, of Natchez, who died Sunday, March 11, 2012, at the Adams County Nursing Center, will be at 2:30 p.m. today, at Zion Chapel Hill No. 2 Church in Kingston with the Rev. Walter Smith officiating.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery under the direction of Robert D. Mackel and Sons Funeral Home.

Visitation was from 1 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Saturday, March 17, 2012, at the funeral home.

Mr. Green was born Dec. 27, 1948, the son of Junius and Augustine “Bernice” Green.

Mr. Green confessed Christ at an early age and decided to reunite with Christ. He was baptized by the Rev. Walter Smith.

Mr. Green was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Charles, Isah and William and one sister, Ida.

Survivors include a devoted companion, Shone Gaines; four sons, D.J. and John Shannon, both of Oklahoma, James W. Green of Ruston, La., and Trent Green of Houston, Texas; four daughters, April, Chelsia, Courtney and Jacolete, all of Oklahoma; five brothers, Edward Green and wife, Karen, James Green, Melvin Green, Robert Earl Green and Wayne Green, and wife, Berdie; three sisters, Cassie Ransom and husband, Henry, of Tyler, Texas, Leola Burkhart and Willie Mae Jackson, both of Natchez; two uncles, Dan Washington Sr. and Nathaniel Washington Sr.; and five aunts, Eddie Odeal Fletcher, Shirley M. Brown, Rosa M. Green, Alma Washington and Velma Nelson, all of Natchez.
