NATCHEZ — Natchez High School could not escape the weather Friday afternoon, with both the baseball and softball teams being forced to cancel their games Friday due to rain the night before.
The baseball team was scheduled to face Forest Hill in a key MHSAA Region 6-6A game at Chester Willis Field. Because of standing water on the field, head coach Skip Golding determined it was not playable. The game has been rescheduled for Friday, April 6 at 1 p.m.
The Bulldogs host Terry next Tuesday with the junior varsity game at 4 p.m. and the varsity game at 6 p.m.
Natchez High’s fast-pitch junior varsity and varsity games at Port Gibson were also cancelled because of the inclement weather.
The Lady Bulldogs host Sacred Heart next Monday with the JV game at 5 p.m. and the varsity game at 6 p.m. This game was postponed back on Thursday, March 8.
