NATCHEZ — Services for Robert Louis Carter Sr., 86, of Natchez, who died Sunday, March 25, 2012, at Promise Hospital in Vidalia, will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Pilgrim Baptist Church with the Rev. Richard Noble officiating.

Burial will be Monday at the Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Bateaste Memorial Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Carter was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Thelma Carter; one daughter, Eaileen Barnes; three sisters; seven brothers; and one granddaughter, Kyleen Barnes.

Survivors include seven children, Robert Carter Jr. and wife, Sarah, James Carter and wife, Mary, Narvell Carter, Mary Terry and husband, the Rev. James Terry, Ann Lewis and husband, James, Deloris Wilkerson and fiancé, James Thomas Jr., and Thelma Felts; a special son, Bobby Wells and wife, Lillian; one brother, Edward Carter and wife, Willena; and a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
