NATCHEZ — Two Natchez natives have been charged in connection with the Friday armed robbery of a Baton Rouge restaurant.
Baton Rouge Police Cpl. Tommy Stubbs said Brandon Anthony Daggs, 21, 424 Butler St., New Orleans, and Shakeria Clay, 19, 815 S.15th St., Baton Rouge were both charged with armed robbery.
A third suspect, Terrance Ardell Jones, 19, 137 Julia Drive, Avondale, La., turned himself in Wednesday night after learning he was wanted for the robbery. Jones was charged with one count of armed robbery.
Daggs and Jones, one reportedly armed with a handgun, allegedly entered Raising Cane’s restaurant on Government Street at about 11:20 a.m. Friday, grabbed money from the cash registers and fled in a gold Dodge Neon.
Clay is accused of leaving the restaurant’s door open so the two men could rob it. Stubbs said Clay is an employee of the restaurant.
