LORMAN — Services for Ruby Lee Jackson, 84, of Natchez, who died Thursday, April 5, 2012, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at noon Saturday at Fellowship Baptist Church in Lorman.
Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
Mrs. Jackson was born Jan. 8, 1928, in Lorman, the daughter of Henry Tip Smith and Viola Whitney Smith. She served on the Mother Board.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Delaney Jackson Sr.; stepfather, Abijah Gaines; one sister, Rebecca White; and four brothers, Izell Smith, Charlie Smith, Stiles Whitney Smith and Gilbert Gaines.
Survivors include 10 loving children, Delaney Jackson Jr., Henry Tip Jackson, Gladys P. Jackson, all of Chicago, Viola J. Wells, Rebecca J. Madison and husband, Willard, Ray Charles “J.R.” Jackson and wife, Joyce, Naomi J. Carroll and husband, Robert, all of Natchez, Bobbie J. Dorn, Michael F. Jackson, both of Atlanta, and Hilbert Jackson and wife, Lisa, of Dallas; one brother, Freddie Gaines; a special spiritual daughter, Marsha Richardson of Natchez; 21 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
