Man arrested for sending lewd texts

VIDALIA — A Baton Rouge man is behind bars with bond set at more than a half million dollars on allegations he sent lewd text messages to local teenagers.
Richard L. Wiley, 24, 444 Alvin Dark Ave., Baton Rouge, was arrested Sunday on charges of two counts of indecent behavior with a juvenile and two counts of computer-aided solicitation of a minor.
According to a news release from the Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office, Wiley allegedly sent sexually suggestive text message to two Concordia Parish boys during the weekend.
The two victims were reportedly 14 and 16.
At his magistration Monday, Wiley’s bond was set at $600,000.
He was detained at the parish jail Monday evening.
According to the news release, although Wiley’s official residence is in Baton Rouge, he currently resides in Concordia Parish.
The matter remains under investigation.
