WESSON — Graveside services for Dedtra D. Carter, 49, of Laurel, who died Thursday, April 26, 2012, in Laurel, will be at 1 p.m. today at St. John Cemetery in Wesson.

Burial will follow under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.

Mrs. Carter was born June 18, 1962, in New Orleans, the daughter of the Rev. Ernest Byrd and Earnestine Johnson Byrd Anderson.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Survivors include her husband, Robert Carter; two sons, Xavier Tramaine Cole and Robert Jacoby Carter; her mother; one sister, Diana Lynn Byrd; one brother, Tyrone Byrd; four nephews, Tykhiah Byrd, Tykory Byrd, Sergio Byrd and Neke Byrd; and a number of other relatives and friends.
