Sybil Joyce Alford and Robert Harold Magee, both of Natchez, announce their long-awaited engagement.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of South Natchez High School and is employed by the U.S. Postal Service.

She is the daughter of the late Mr. Dewey Earl “Red” Alford and the late Mrs. Frances Aileen Alford of Natchez.

The groom-to-be is a graduate of Adams County Christian School and is employed by Live Oak Construction.

He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Harold Magee of Natchez.

There will be a private ceremony Friday, May 18, 2012.

Family, friends and foes are all invited to celebrate with them in a western-themed wedding reception at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 19, 2012, at River View Park in Vidalia.

Following the wedding, the couple will live in Natchez.
