Festival of Music cancels one event

NATCHEZ — The Natchez Festival of Music event titled “Dancing in the Park,” has been cancelled. However, Terry Trovato will provide a musical event at at 4 p.m. today at Memorial Park for free, following a demonstration by Burnley Cook on the Colliope.

There will also be Art in the Park Saturday afternoon with activities provided by the Downtown Development Association in advance of the 7 p.m. production of the operetta, “The Mikado,” at the Margaret Martin Performing Arts Center. Tickets for “The Mikado” are $25.

At 4 p.m. Sunday, the Natchez Festival of Music will present “The Glorious Sound of Brass Music for Trumpet and Organ” at Trinity Episcopal Church featuring Jason Bergman and Vincent Bache. Tickets are $15. All tickets can be bought by calling 601-445-2210, online at www.natchezfestivalofmusic.com, through Natchez Pilgrimage Tours at the Natchez Visitor Center, or at the door.
