NATCHEZ — Services for Robert Rounds, 73, of New Orleans, who died Tuesday, May 15, 2012, at Kindred Hospital in New Orleans, will be at 11 a.m. today at Webb Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Walter Sago officiating.
Burial will follow at Rounds Cemetery in Sibley under the direction of Webb Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time today at the funeral home.
Mr. Rounds was born Feb. 12, 1939, in Sibley, the son of Charlie Roosevelt and Sarah Rounds. He was a graduate of Bell High School in New Orleans and was employed Tulane University in New Orleans.
Mr. Rounds was retired.
He loved jazz music, spending time with family, culinary arts, fishing and world history.
Mr. Rounds was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Charlie, Willie and Ernest James Rounds.
Survivors include three brothers, Isaiah Rounds of Natchez, Joe Rounds and wife, Kathleen, and Lee Rounds and wife, Gladys, all of Sibley; three sisters, Edna Bridges of Los Angeles, Angie Fitzgerald and Helen Lewis, both of Natchez; a niece and nephew he helped to raise, Frieda Woods and husband, Aaron, of Greenville, S.C. and Rod Dempse and wife, Donna, of Fairfax, Va.
Pallbearers will be friends and family.
