LAKE ST. JOHN — Services for Arthur Jefferson, 65, of Marrero, La., formerly of Ferriday, who died Wednesday, May 30, 2012, at Wynhoven Health Care Center in Marrero, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Matthews Baptist Church at Lake St. John in Ferriday with the Rev. R.B. Turner officiating.

Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Mr. Jefferson was born June 23, 1946, in Ferriday, the son of Ike and Mollie Carter Jefferson.

Survivors include three children, Daniel Francis of New Orleans, Debra Jefferson of Lafayette, La., and Shelia Johnson of Waterproof; one sister, Creola Barber of Ferriday; long-time friend, Laura Mae Johnson of Waterproof; and five sisters-in-law.
