NATCHEZ – Services for Ester Ruth “Polly” Owens, 61, of Natchez, who died Tuesday, May 29, 2012, at her residence, will be at noon Friday at Pilgrim Baptist Church.

Burial will follow at Sunset View Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Friday at the church.

Ms. Owens was born March 3, 1951, in Wilkinson County, the daughter of Rose Lee Owens-Smith.

She was preceded in death by her mother; one brother, Harry Smith; one sister, Greta Smith; and one great-grandson, Leslie Robinson III.

Survivors include three daughters, Rose Owens, Diane Owens and Kesha Owens; three sons, Michael “PeeWee” Owens and wife, Sarah, Vincent Owens and Travis Owens, all of Natchez; two sisters, Dorothy Crumbley and husband, Ronald, of Chicago and Frankie Smith of Shreveport, La.; three brothers, Ronald Smith, Donald Smith and wife, Denise, and Jerry Smith and wife, Paula, all of Baton Rouge; 14 grandchildren, Travis, Kesha, LaQutia, LaKyrea, Derricka, Latrice, Derick, Deneka, Darrius, Michael, Zavier, Jasmine, Michelle and Zachary; 10 great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives and friends.
