William Walton Youngblood

MADISON — Services for William Walton Youngblood, 83, of Madison, who died Monday, June 11, 2012, at G.V. (Sonny) Montgomery Medical Center in Jackson, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Natchez Trace Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial will follow at Natchez Trace Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Natchez Trace Funeral Home of Madison.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home.

Mr. Youngblood, a native of Pickens County, Ala., moved to Natchez in 1950 and was an active member of Jefferson Street United Methodist Church. For the past 13 years he lived in Madison where he attended Christ United Methodist in Jackson. Mr. Youngblood served in the U.S. Army and was a Korean War veteran. He earned his business degree from Draughon’s College and retired from International Paper Company. He was a Shriner and Master Mason at Harmony Lodge in Natchez and Circle 638 in Madison.

Survivors include his loving wife of 61 years, Lucille Youngblood of Madison; two daughters, Vicky Minninger of Madison and Leah Stinson and husband, Mike, of Philadelphia; one sister, Ann Taylor of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; four grandchildren, Kim Smith and husband, Brian, Emily Stinson, Briana Petty and husband, Taylor, and Walter Stinson; and two great-grandchildren, Carter and Taylor Smith.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Parkinson Disease Foundation, Shriner’s or Masonic Lodge.
