MOBILE, Ala. — A Mass of Christian Burial for Martha Ann Inzina Pierre, of Mobile, Ala., who died Thursday, June 21, 2012, will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Matthew Catholic Church in Mobile.

Burial will follow at Pine Crest Cemetery under the direction of Radney Funeral Home in Mobile.

Mrs. Pierre was born in Bastrop, La. She was a devoted and generous wife, mother and grandmother and taught preschool and elementary school for more than 30 years.

Mrs. Pierre was a lifelong Catholic.

She was preceded in death by her father, Philip Inzina, and her father and mother-in-law, William and Ida Pierre.

Survivors include her husband of 39 years, William Pierre; one daughter, Tara Pierre Ellis and husband, Anthony; two grandchildren, Martha Ann Ellis and James Spencer Ellis; her mother, Margaret Inzina; two sisters, Alice Dean and Phyllis Reid and husband, Jeff; three brothers, David Inzina, Michael Inzina and wife, Sally, and Tommy Inzina and wife, Suzanne; two sisters-in-law, Carolyn Pierre and Adele Peters and husband, Wayne; and nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. June Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
