NATCHEZ — Funeral services for Leo Lawrence Joseph Sr., 92, of Natchez, who died Friday, June 22, 2012, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be 2 p.m. Monday at Lovely Lane United Methodist Church with the Rev. Len McRaney officiating.

Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be noon Monday until time of services at the church.

Mr. Joseph was born March 12, 1920, in Wilkinson County, the son of William Edward Joseph and Mamie Mae Cason Joseph. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Navy. He was an honorary member of Lovely Lane United Methodist Church. He was also a Shriner at the Wahabai Temple and a member of Harmony Lodge No. 1, the Natchez York Rite Bodies. He retired from Armstrong Tire and Rubber Company with 42 years of service.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Reginald Joseph and one sister, Nell Porter.

Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Edna Godfrey Joseph; four sons, Leo Lawrence Joseph Jr., Reginald Aaron Joseph, Malcolm Wayne Joseph, all of Natchez, and Godfrey West Joseph of Port Gibson; five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Leo Joseph III, Malcolm Joseph Jr., Clifford Cox, John Storslett, Sonny Daniels and Richard Viglione.

Honorary pallbearers will be Robert “Buck” Groves, Jack Cupit, Willie Mobley and the Masonic Bodies.
