NATCHEZ — The Adams County Board of Supervisors voted Thursday to place Adams County under an immediate burn ban due to dry conditions.
Based on the motion by Supervisor Mike Lazraus to enact the ban, the supervisors will revisit the matter at their July 2 meeting, and at that time will decide to extend the ban or let it expire.
The ban was enacted at the request of Adams County Emergency Management Director Stan Owens.
