FERRIDAY — Services for Delbert “Bobby” Howard, 58, of Forest Park, Ill., formerly of Ferriday, who died Friday, June 22, 2012, at his residence, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at New Morning Star Baptist Church in Ferriday with the Rev. Robert Cade officiating.

Burial will follow at the Ferriday Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Howard was born Jan. 27, 1954, in Ferriday, the son of Andrew and Alice Moore Howard.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Abron Wade and Kenard D. Mencer.

Survivors include two brothers, Andrew Howard and wife, Barbara, of Ferriday and Elton Wade and wife, April, of Natchitoches, La.; one sister, Verna M. Batiste of Vidalia; one uncle, Johnny D. Moore of North Carolina; six aunts, Jerridean Bowman and husband, Earl, of Dallas, Hattie Slack of California, Audrey Franklin of Vidalia, Elsie Howard of Natchez, Martha M. Smith and Mable Smith, both of Ferriday.
