NATCHEZ — Graveside services for John Arthur Smith, 69, of Vidalia, who died Tuesday, July 3, 2012, at Riverland Medical Center in Ferriday, will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Natchez City Cemetery with the Rev. Michael Cowan officiating.

Burial will follow under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Mr. Smith was born Nov. 29, 1942, in Natchez, the son of Henry Smith and Mazie Lee Dunham Smith. He was a member of the Bougere Baptist Church.

Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his parents and one grandson, Joshua Shane Smith.

Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Jackie Smith; three sons, Robert Orcutt, Hunter Smith and Journey Smith; two daughters, Tammy Orcutt Glass and husband, Troy, and Destiny Smith, all of Vidalia; three grandchildren, John Paul Morehead, Tiffany Morehead and Katlyn Rose Smith Orcutt; and three brothers.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
