We hope you had a relaxing Fourth of July holiday last week and enjoyed some time with friends and family.
The midweek holiday provided a nice break in the workweek and a great fireworks show, but it wasn’t the only good news from the week.
Let’s review a few other good things that occurred last week.
4 Hundreds of former residents and current residents gathered this week for the Sadie V. Thompson era reunion. It’s always good to see familiar faces, and we hope this group enjoyed their time together.
4 The Natchez-Adams County Airport is due for a facelift, and a Mississippi Department of Transportation grant is making surgery possible. Work will improve the look and functionality of the airport terminal, which is often the first glimpse of Natchez for many businessmen and women who are considering bringing their money to our community.
4 Boat riders and spectators had a good day Saturday at Lake St. John for the annual flotilla. Congratulations to the winners; we all enjoyed your creativity!
4 Natchez High School student Tyler Williams is learning the value of hard work and earning some cash this summer by working for his school district. Williams is doing maintenance work now, but he hopes to pursue an education in computer science soon.
As the Miss-Lou gets back to work this week, we know more news will soon welcome us all.
