PORT GIBSON — Services for Preshervie “Sherri” Jackson-Ford, 41, of Port Gibson, who died Monday, July 9, 2012, at River Region Hospital in Vicksburg, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Antioch Christian Church in Port Gibson with the Rev. Daniel Cook officiating.
Burial will at Hollywood Missionary Baptist Church in Fayette under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Friday at the church.
Mrs. Ford was born April 7, 1971, in Port Gibson, the daughter of Charles Johnson Sr. and Lessie Mae Jackson-Ward.
She was preceded in death by her parents; grandmothers, Mamie Jackson and Bertha Johnson; grandfathers, Grover Jackson Sr. and Walter Johnson Sr.; five aunts, Lela Mae Green, Mattie Mae Jackson, Lessie Smith, Alberta Trevillion and Della Byrd; and five uncles, Bennie Garrison, James Johnson Sr., Grover Jackson Jr., Roosevelt Jackson and Arthur Jackson.
Survivors include her husband, Gregory Ford Sr.; one son, Gregory Ford Jr. of Port Gibson; one sister, Fionndrea Ward of Brandon; four brothers, Charles Johnson Jr., Larry Ward Jr. and wife, Annetrice, and Christopher Wells, all of Port Gibson, and Calvin Johnson and wife, Aneatra, of Brandon; seven aunts, Lula Jackson of Port Gibson, Della Simon of Fayette, Josie Jackson and Mamie Venters, both of Gardena, Calif., Annie Jackson of Los Angeles, Esther Jackson-Blanding of Carson, Calif., and Sandra Jackson-Kincaid of Marietta, Ga.; five uncles, George Jackson of Port Gibson, Fred Johnson and Ray Leon Smith, both of Vicksburg, Amos Jackson of Memphis, Tenn., and Billy Ray Jackson of Los Angeles; a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends; and special friends, Linda Faye Brown, Gretia Green and Brenda Tarlenton, all of Port Gibson.
