WOODVILLE — Services for Wilber Leon Beckham Jr., 85, of Woodville, who died Thursday, July 12, 2012, at his residence surrounded by family, will be at 11 a.m. today at Newman Funeral Home Chapel in Woodville with the Rev. David Hedden officiating.

Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery under the direction of Newman Funeral Home in Woodville.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time today at the funeral home.

Mr. Beckham was born April 23, 1927, in Woodville, the son of Wilber L. Beckham Sr. and Ida Mae Fugler Beckham.

Mr. Beckham served in the U.S. Navy and was a veteran of World War II.

He was the owner of Beckham’s Electric Company.

Mr. Beckham was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, C.L. Beckham and Levand Beckham; and one sister, Laura Wallace.

Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Betty Whitehead Beckham; three daughters, Teresa, Lorraine and Renee; grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be David Bell, Randy Bell, Chris Leon, Mark Trevillion, William McGraw and Theodore Pace.
