NATCHEZ — Services for Warren H. Strong, 90, who died Monday, July 16, 2012, at Promise Hospital, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Siloam Baptist with the Rev. Leon Wallace officiating.

Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the church.

Mr. Strong was born Jan. 21, 1922, in Franklin County, the son of Sylvester Strong and Anna Miller Strong.

He was retired from Armstrong Tire Company and was a veteran of World War II.

Mr. Strong was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Earlene Womack Strong; two brothers, Oren Strong and Erastus Strong; three sisters, Reba Smith, Nomi Lowrey, and Mary Stephens; one granddaughter, Kimberly Britt; and one son-in-law, Joe Swaggart.

Survivors include one son, Wesley Strong and wife, Fran, of Natchez; two daughters, Diane Britt and husband, Roger, and Connie Swaggart, all of Natchez; four grandchildren, Kellie Smith and husband, Tony, Beth Harris and husband, Ronnie, Jo Lynn Arnold and husband, Randy, and Amanda Stroud and husband, Wes; eight great-grandchildren, Kayla Cole, Luke and Kyle Smith, Joseph and Morgan Harris, and Bailey and Warren Stroud; a number of nieces and nephews; and best friend his dog, Cookie.

Pallbearers will be Tony Smith, Ronnie Harris, Randy Arnold, Wes Stroud, Joseph Harris and Cole Smith.

Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Peterson, Dewitt Bilbo and Larry Cotton.
