VIDALIA — Services for Devon Jenkins, 56, of Seattle, Wash., formerly of Ferriday, who died Tuesday, July 3, 2012, at his residence, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Young’s Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Vidalia with the Rev. Jerrod Bottley officiating.

Burial will follow at the Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Mr. Jenkins was born Oct. 31, 1955, in Brooklyn, N.Y., the son of Sylvester and Freda Pannell Jenkins.

Mr. Jenkins served in the U.S. Navy.

Survivors include his parents of Ferriday; one daughter, Clover Louise of Freeport, Grand Bahamas; one brother, Duane Jenkins of Baton Rouge; two sisters, Shaun Young and husband, Douglas, of Atlanta and Sheri Jenkins of Chicago; one aunt, Lucille Jenkins of New Orleans; and a number of other aunts, uncles and cousins.
