FERRIDAY — Services for Willie “Maureen” Blaylock, 89, of Ferriday, who died Tuesday, July 17, 2012, in Ferriday, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday with the Rev. Russell Crum officiating.
Burial will follow at Scott Cemetery in Monterey under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Blaylock was born May 4, 1923, in Monterey, the daughter of William Howard Cross and Pinkie White Cross.
Mrs. Blaylock was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Edward Blaylock; her parents; one son, Kenneth “David” Blaylock; one daughter, Diane Maureen Blaylock Koch; and one sister, Annie Muriel Beetz.
Survivors include one son, Abner Blaylock of Monterey; three granddaughters, Marla Jenkins and husband, David, of Amory, Holli Koch of Ferriday and Sarah McCrary and husband, Adam, of Watauga, Texas; three grandsons, Robert Blaylock and wife, Mindy, and Stephen Blaylock, all of Fort Worth, Texas and Jonathan Koch and wife, Amy, of Boston; mother of grandchildren, Karen Galbreath Blaylock of Fort Worth; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Craig Jackson, Robert Blaylock, Roy Powell, Adam McCrary, Stephen Blaylock and David Jenkins.
Honorary pallbearers will be Sydney Wiley and James Forman.
