NATCHEZ — Services for Sarah Sue Risher, 82, of Natchez, who died Sunday, July 22, 2012, at Magnolia House, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Walton Jones officiating.
Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today and from 1 p.m. until service time Wednesday, both at the funeral home.
Mrs. Risher was born July 8, 1930, in Smackover, Ark., the daughter of William Raiford Ellison and Norene Hearst Ellison.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Elijah Risher; her parents; and one sister, Dorothy Beatrice Smith.
Survivors include one son, Billy Risher and wife, Sherri; one daughter, Teresa Burns and husband, Emmett, all of Natchez; three grandchildren, Buck Burns of wife, Ashley, of Memphis, Tenn., Jessica Pickering and husband, Brian, of Madison and Lisa McKnight and husband, Barrett, of Natchez; and four great-grandchildren, Ava and Hudson Burns, Eli Pickering and Thomas McKnight.
Pallbearers will be Buck Burns, Brian Pickering, Barrett McKnight, Biff Partridge, Mike Rinehart and Ridge Partridge.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Magnolia House, The Terrace, Deaconess Hospice and Dr. Kenneth Stubbs.
