FERRIDAY — Services for Bobbie Jean Lively, 74, of Ridgecrest, who died Tuesday, July 24, 2012, at Franklin Medical Center in Winnsboro, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday with the Rev. Richard Cullum and the Rev. Edwin Beach officiating.
Burial will follow at Coax Cemetery in Winnsboro under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Lively was born Sept. 25, 1937, in Winnsboro, the daughter of Clyde Henry Newton and Emmie Steen Newton.
Mrs. Lively was a member of Sycamore Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marcus “Pete” Lively; her parents; one daughter, Denise Ann Lively; one brother, Lester Newton; and one nephew, Keith Lyn Newton.
Survivors include two sons, Edward “Cricket” Lively and wife, Dianne, of Monroe, La., and Donald Ray Lively Sr. of Ridgecrest; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Myles Smith, Bill Fletcher, Martin Nelson, Jim Sproles, Sam Canady and Windall Brelland.
