NATCHEZ — Ice cream lovers have a good excuse today to get a cool treat on a hot day from Dairy Queen.

The restaurant is celebrating Miracle Treat Day, and proceeds of $1 or more from every Blizzard purchased at participating stores will be donated to Children’s Miracle Network hospitals.

Additionally, every RSVP on the Miracle Treat Day’s Facebook event page will also be matched with a $1 donation — up to $50,000 — to the cause.

The John R. Junkin Drive Dairy Queen is participating in Miracle Treat Day and will be open today from 5:45 a.m. until 10:30 p.m.
