NATCHEZ — Services for Irene Lazarus Huff, 82, of Long Beach, who died Tuesday, July 31, 2012, at Gulfport Memorial Hospital, will be at 10 a.m. today at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Don Bush officiating.

Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Huff was born June 12, 1930, in Bude, the daughter of Horace William Lazarus and Mary Templeton Lazarus. She was a Baptist and a Sunday school teacher for a number of years.

Mrs. Huff’s lifetime leadership roles were working with Vacation Bible School, GAs and Sunbeams.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert E. “Bob” Huff; one brother, Ernest Glen Lazarus; and one sister, Winnie Lee McPhate.

Survivors include one son, Robert Glen Huff and wife, Sheila, of Spring Hill, Tenn.; one daughter, Cyndi Huff Gaudet and husband, Robert, of Pass Christian; six grandchildren, Robert Christopher Huff and wife, Beverly, and Courtney Huff Gaudet and husband, Matt, all of Spring Hill, Robin Renee Gaudet and fiancé, Matt Lewis, of Pass Christian, Ross Ellenwood Gaudet and wife, Lauren, of Petal, Robert Joseph Gaudet and wife, Michelle, of Mandeville, La., and Tanya Gaudet Halford and husband, Dexter, of Belle Chase, La.; 12 great-grandchildren; one brother, Charles Lenox Lazarus of Natchez; one sister, Mary Anne Russell of Meadville; and a number of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Pallbearers will be Chris Huff, Ross Gaudet, Matt Givens, Matt Lewis, Kippy Blaney and Steve Lazarus.

Memorials may be made to Gideon International or Long Beach Senior Center in Long Beach.
