NATCHEZ — The Adams County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a Friday armed robbery at the Kenny Graves Apartments.

Adams County Sheriff Chuck Mayfield said two male victims reported the robbery by walk-in at the Adams County Sheriff’s Office.

According to the victims, they had gone to Kenny Graves Apartments to meet a woman one of the victims had been communicating with via the Internet, Mayfield said.

While the victims were standing next to their car, speaking with the woman and another female who were standing on the porch of one of the apartments, two men approached them from behind, drew guns and told the victims to give them their money, Mayfield said.

One victim told investigators the robbers took an iPhone, $158 in cash and a watch; the other victim reported robbers took $95 in cash, an iPhone, a watch and his wallet containing an ID card, driver’s license and Social Security card, Mayfield said.

The matter remains under investigation.
