Rain forced Centreville Academy and Wilkinson County Christian Academy to postpone their respective softball games Thursday afternoon.

Centreville was set to host MAIS District 6-AA opponent Silliman Institute, but stormy conditions forced the game to be rescheduled. The Lady Tigers will next play at the Amite School Center Tournament on Saturday.

WCCA and non-district opponent Oak Forest Academy were also victims of the rainy weather. However, Lady Rams head coach Kyle White said the games were not rained out — there was just too much electricity in the area.

“We were lightninged out,” White said. “The lightning was just too bad.”

No make-up date has been announced. WCCA will also play starting Saturday at the ASC Tournament.
