NATCHEZ — Services for Laura Mae Isaac, 65, of Natchez, who died Monday, Aug. 6, 2012, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at noon Saturday at Second Union Baptist Church with the Rev. Robert L. Strickland officiating.

Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Bateaste Memorial Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 11 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Mrs. Isaac was born March 6, 1947, in Natchez, the daughter of Beulah Irving.

Mrs. Isaac attended Natchez public schools. She was a homemaker and a member of Second Union Baptist Church where she served as president of the senior choir. She was also a member of LF&C Society-St. Clair Lodge No. 23 Good Samaritan.

Mrs. Isaac never met a stranger, she loved talking to people.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Beverly “Wildhog” Isaac Jr.; grandparents, Saul and Tina Wilson; and one nephew, Eddie Darnell Gaines.

Survivors include her mother and stepfather, Arthur Irving Sr.; one daughter, Angie Isaac King; one son, Vernon Isaac; seven sisters, Earline Gaines, Betty Irving, Everlean Irving, Theresa Irving, Lillie Irving, Linda Hutchins and husband, Larry, and Augustine Adams, all of Natchez; two brothers, Arthur Irving Jr. and wife, Loria, of Natchez and Jimmy Randall and wife, Connie, of Atlanta; seven grandchildren, Jaramy Johnson of Beaumont, Texas, Travis Isaac, Brian Isaac, Fredrica Martin, Lauvell Isaac, Chantell Isaac and Zanti Isaac, all of Natchez; three great-grandchildren, Brandon, Deandrew and Makayla Johnson, all of Beaumont; one goddaughter, Arica Irving; two godsons, Donald Ray Johnson of Dallas and Carl Wayne Nelson of Natchez; special cousins and friends, Rosie B. Wilson, Florida Johnson and Rosie Lee Isaac; and a number of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
