INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — A funeral Mass for Eugene Dottery III, 77, of Indianapolis, Ind., who died Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2012, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Monica Catholic Church.

Burial will follow at Washington Park Cemetery North under the direction of Stuart Mortuary, Inc.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time at the church.

Mr. Dottery was born in Natchez. He received a bachelor’s degree from Alcorn A&M College in 1969 and a master’s degree in 1971 from DePauw University in Greencastle, Ind.

Mr. Dottery retired from Olinger Distributing in 2000 after 15 years as data processing manager.

He was a member of St. Monica Catholic Church.

Mr. Dottery was preceded in death by his first wife, Desire Dixon “Dessie” Dottery; his parents; and two brothers.

Survivors include his wife, Nona D. Dottery; four children, Michael E. Dottery and wife, Benita, Jacqueline A. Dottery, Joan E. Thaxton and husband, Reginald, and Patrick Eugene Dottery and wife, Keisha; seven grandchildren; one sister, Henry Louise Smith and husband, Robert; a special sister-in-law, Harriette Dottery; and other relatives.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Monica Catholic School.
