NATCHEZ — Services for Ferguson Davis, 65, of Natchez, who died Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2012, at Glenburney Nursing Facility, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Robert D. Mackel and Sons Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. LeRoy White officiating.

Burial will follow at Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Robert D. Mackel and Sons Funeral Home.

Visitation with be from 9 a.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home.

Mr. Davis was born Nov. 7, 1946, in Natchez, the son of Thomas Davis Jr. and Irene Jackson Davis.

He was Baptist and a member of the L.F. and C. Society. He was a graduate of Sadie V. Thompson class of 1966 and attended Alcorn College. He served in the U.S. Army serving two tours during the Vietnam War. Mr. Davis was formerly employed and retired from the Houston, Texas Department of Water Works.

Mr. Davis was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Roy Davis and Jessie Davis.

Survivors include two sons, Keith Hunter and Kenneth Hunter of Minnesota; four brothers, Thomas Davis III, Willie James Davis and wife, Margaret, all of Natchez, Bobby Davis of Tallahassee, Fla. and Nolan Davis and wife, Carolyn, of Houston; and a number of other relatives and friends.
