JONESVILLE — A one-car accident in Catahoula Parish left a Jena man dead this morning.

Louisiana State Police responded to the crash at 4:30 a.m. on Louisiana 126 at Fish Fin Road, a spokesman said.

Jason K. Adams, 32, was ejected from the 2003 Chevrolet truck he was driving and pronounced dead at the scene.

The truck was headed west on the highway when Adams lost control and drove off the roadway to the left, striking a tree.

Due to the extensive damage to the driver’s area of the vehicle, troopers at the scene were unable to determine if Adams was wearing his seat belt.

Routine toxicology tests are pending. The crash remains under investigation.
